Pain is a sensation triggered by the central nervous system to alert the body to an area where there may be possible injury. Chronic pain, on the other hand, is a persistent signaling of the central nervous system over a period of weeks, months, or even years. In some cases there may have been an initial cause for the pain such as a sprain or infection, but in others there may be an ongoing condition that is the source of the chronic pain such as arthitits, infection, or a breakdown in the body caused by aging.
Individuals suffering from chronic pain may experience pain conditions such as headaches, pain in the lower back, arthritis, chronic fatigue, muscle aches, sharp shooting pains in specific joints just to name a few.
Each individual's pain experience is unique and should be evaluated by an experienced Pain Managment Specialist. If you would like an appointment, please contact us or fill out an
